Fine-tuning
A second, smaller round of training that adapts a finished model to a particular job or behavior.
A base model learns general patterns from vast text; fine-tuning then continues training on a narrower set of examples to steer it. That might mean medical questions and answers, legal drafting, or simply following instructions politely. The technique is why one underlying model can become many different products.
