    Tesla began a limited robotaxi service in Austin, Texas on 22 June 2025 with about 10 Model Y cars running Full Self-Driving software and a human safety monitor in the front passenger seat. Riders and reporters recorded wrong-way driving and drop-offs in intersections.

  2. Anthropic launches Claude, its first public assistant

    Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI researchers, released Claude on 14 March 2023 through a chat interface and an API, after a closed alpha with partners including Notion, Quora and DuckDuckGo. Two versions shipped: Claude, and the faster and cheaper Claude Instant.
