Claude for Government is now generally available

Claude for Government is generally available to federal and state agencies. It runs in a FedRAMP High authorized environment and has been in public beta since July. Claude Code CLI and Claude for Microsoft 365 entered early access alongside it.

Why it mattered GA makes government procurement possible on Anthropic’s own terms. FedRAMP High clears the highest bar for agency AI adoption.

Claude for Government is now generally available to federal and state agencies. It runs in a FedRAMP High authorized environment after a public beta that began in July. Agencies pay for usage in fixed increments with a hard not-to-exceed cap, and there are no seat fees. Admin actions land in an audit log that supports the agency ATO process.
